Certifications of Mohan Spintex
Mohan Spintex India Limited (MSIL) holds a range of certifications covering how it manages quality, environment and safety; what its products contain; what they must not contain; and how its workers are treated.[1][2][3]

Certificates have defined scopes and expiry dates, so a product or site is covered only when it falls within a current certificate.

Management systems
ISO 9001
ISO 9001 certifies a documented, consistently followed quality management system, including internal audit, corrective action and continual improvement.
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 certifies an environmental management system. At MSIL it bears most heavily on processing, where water, effluent, chemicals and energy are concentrated.
ISO 45001
ISO 45001 certifies an occupational health and safety management system, including hazard identification, incident investigation and worker participation.
Product content
GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard covers organic fibre content together with environmental and social criteria at every processing stage, and requires chain-of-custody records from fibre to finished product.[2]
GRS
The Global Recycled Standard verifies recycled content and requires certified and non-certified material to be kept separate throughout production.
BCI
The Better Cotton Initiative is a farm-level sustainability programme traded on a mass-balance basis. It is not an organic certification and does not physically trace fibre into individual products.
Product safety
OEKO-TEX
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tests every component of an article against limits for harmful substances. MSIL's published marks also include OEKO-TEX Organic Cotton.[3]
MADE IN GREEN
MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX combines product-safety testing with verification of environmentally and socially responsible production, and gives each article a traceable label.
Detox
The Detox commitment, which grew out of Greenpeace's Detox campaign, requires the elimination of hazardous chemicals from manufacturing and control of wastewater.[2]
Social compliance
WRAP
Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production certifies sewn-products facilities against twelve principles covering labour, health and safety, environment and security.[2]
Sedex
Sedex members' ethical trade audits (SMETA) examine labour standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics.[2]
Facilities and security
C-TPAT and SCAN
The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and SCAN audits assess supply-chain and cargo security, and are commonly required by importers in the United States.[2][3]
IGBC
The Indian Green Building Council certifies buildings for site, water, energy, materials and indoor environmental quality.[3]
Other marks
The company's published marks include 5S, a workplace organisation method rather than an audited certification.[3]
