Mohan Spintex India Limited (MSIL) sells yarn, fabric and home textiles to customers in India and exports to more than 22 countries.[1] In the 2021–22 financial year about 80% of its sales were domestic and 20% were exports.[1]
Customers named by rating agencies
In 2024 Infomerics named the following among the company's long-standing customers:[2]
| Domestic | International |
|---|---|
| Lux Industries | Hometex Inc. |
| L S Mills | Revival New York |
| NMK Textile Mills India | Welspun USA |
| IKEA |
Domestic customers
The company names leading Indian textile manufacturers among its domestic customers, including:[3]
- Welspun – one of the world's largest home-textile manufacturers
- Himatsingka – an integrated home-textile group
- Indo Count – a major bed-linen exporter
- Mafatlal – one of India's oldest textile groups
Several of these customers are themselves large exporters, and they audit their suppliers against the standards their own international customers require.
Exports

Exports were important from the start. The company says it sold in the domestic market first and then overseas, and by 2017 it was exporting close to 50% of its output, to countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and Europe.[4] The Managing Director attributed the company's competitive edge to "value addition in terms of quality, consistent supply and committed delivery".[4]
In 2022 the company reported exports to more than 22 countries, including the United States, Canada, European countries, Australia, Bangladesh and China.[1]
Overseas Director Yantrapragada Subba Rao said in 2026 that buyers now assess suppliers on reliability, ethical sourcing, compliance and consistent quality, not just price, and that "in export markets, reputation travels faster than shipments".[5]
Export share has varied: 20.85% of sales in 2020–21, 17.90% in 2021–22 and about 15% in 2023–24, when exports went to the United States, South America, Israel, the European Union and Asian countries.[6][2] A wholly owned subsidiary in the United States, Mohan International Inc., acts as the company's marketing office for American export orders.[6]
The company exhibits at Heimtextil in Frankfurt, the main international trade fair for home textiles. It was profiled in the Heimtextil 2026 edition of The Textile Magazine, and is listed as an exhibitor for Heimtextil 2027 (Hall 9.0, stand E49).[5][7]
International buyers have visited or audited MSIL's facilities, including IKEA (an audit in 2022 and a team visit in 2023) and the Italian linen maker Frette (2022).[8][9][10]
