Astara is a home-textiles brand owned by Mohan Spintex India Limited (MSIL). The company launched it for the Indian domestic market, extending its business from manufacturing for other brands to selling under its own name.[3][4]
History
MSIL introduced Astara as its domestic brand, supported by its integrated production of yarn, fabric and finished home textiles.[3] The brand opened a retail outlet in Vijayawada.[5]
Products
Astara is a premium bed linen range.[1][2] Its products come from the company's own home textiles division, which makes sheets, sheet sets, pillowcases, duvet covers, quilts and comforters.[3]
Retail and franchising
By January 2022 Astara was sold through exclusive stores and on the online marketplaces Amazon and AJIO.[2] The brand began operating and franchising in 2020. Its franchise listing seeks partners in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra, preferably for 300–400 sq ft stores in shopping malls, and reports fewer than ten franchise outlets.[1]
